2. What Data We Collect

Server Log Data

Our hosting provider automatically records standard web server logs when you visit the site. These logs contain: IP address, date and time of request, URL requested, HTTP status code, referrer URL, and browser user-agent string. This data is retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes and is not used for profiling.

Contact Form Submissions

If you use the contact form on the About page, we receive the name, phone number, email address, and message body you supply. This information is used solely to respond to your query. It is not shared with third parties and is deleted within 12 months unless an ongoing correspondence requires retention.

Cookies

This site sets a single first-party cookie (aw_cookie_consent) to store your response to the cookie notice. It expires after 365 days and contains no personal identifier. If you reject cookies, the same cookie is set to record that rejection so the banner does not reappear.

No third-party analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or social media tracking pixels are placed by this site.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Server log data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for security and site operation. Contact form data is processed on the basis of the performance of a pre-contractual request or consent (Article 6(1)(a)/(b)). Cookie consent preference is stored pursuant to Article 6(1)(a).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be disclosed to competent authorities if required by Italian or EU law.

5. External Image Content

Images on this site are served directly from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org) under Creative Commons licences. When your browser loads these images, your IP address is visible to the Wikimedia Foundation. The Wikimedia Foundation's own privacy policy governs that interaction.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure where no legitimate retention ground applies; object to processing based on legitimate interest; and lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it). To exercise any right, email info@alderwell.eu.

7. Changes to This Policy
